Hippocrates
One third of Walworth County residents are struggling to make ends meet. We are here to help you in a cheerful and nonjudgmental manner with food, milk, diapers, incontinence products, period supplies, programs, and resources.
Guests are welcome to come once each month to receive help, or they may designate a proxy to pick up their food with written consent. Guests must reside in Walworth County and meet the income eligibility requirements found here. Guests over 60 years old may also qualify for the Senior Stock Box Program (an extra box of food monthly) if their income meets the guidelines found here.
We are open for distribution:
Thursdays 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
Fridays 9:00 a.m. to noon
We are closed Monday through Wednesday, and Sat./Sun.
In the event that we must close due to unforeseen circumstances, a message will be posted on our voicemail messaging system, the front door of our building, and on our Facebook page.
Your privacy is important to us. Personal information is stored in our confidential and secure software platform and is not shared outside of our organization.
We verify income and proof of residence for all guests.
Every Visit:
Please bring your current photo I.D. and bags for your produce. If your I.D. is not current, bring a legal piece of mail confirming your Walworth County residency for each visit until your I.D. has been updated.
First Time Visitors:
Bring a photo I.D., a legal piece of mail confirming your residency in Walworth County, and proof of each person in your household. Examples: first class mail received within 30 days, utility bill, lease, rent receipt, deed or mortgage, school documents, FoodShare letter.
Proxy Program:
If you are unable to leave your home, you may send a written note and a copy of your photo I.D. with a friend or relative who will serve as your proxy to pick up food.
All guests receive frozen foods, dairy, canned goods, dry goods, and a choice from our fresh produce, hopefully enough for 10-14 days of meals.
We also offer infant and toddler diapers, pullups, wipes, adult incontinence products, bed pads, tampons, liners, and pads.
As we rely on private donations and local and national resources, the items we offer vary, and might not always be in stock.
We proudly partner with Circle of Friends to bring Toys for Tots to our community each December.
When available we offer:
birthday cake kits, children's books, baby formula and food, Bombas socks, handmade quilts, blankets, hats, and mittens, holiday meals, and more.
